Scene 1

It’s early morning, still dark outside. Victoria Newman arrives at Billy Abbott’s trailer, at his request. She knocks on the door, but there’s no answer. “Billy?” Victoria calls out a few times as she continues knocking.

Inside, Billy and Heather Stevens are asleep in bed together. They begin to wake up due to Victoria’s knocking. When she continues to get no answer, Victoria lets herself in with the spare key underneath Billy’s doormat. She gasps upon seeing Billy in bed with Heather. Their clothes are scattered all over the room. Heather screams when she sees Victoria. She quickly attempts to cover herself with the blankets. Billy is amused, but tries to contain himself. “What’s going on here, Billy?” Victoria asks. “Just, let us get dressed,” Billy pleads. Victoria looks away.

Scene 2

Jana Hawkes Fisher is awake early, anticipating her appointment with Dr. Brian Hamilton, a neurologist that Katherine Chancellor Murphy brought to Genoa City in order to help treat her amnesia. Her husband Kevin Fisher joins her in the kitchen. “I can’t sleep,” Jana confesses, speaking softly. “Are you nervous about the appointment?” Kevin asks. “That, and I can’t stop thinking about what happened at dinner last night,” Jana admits. Kevin nods. “Yeah, I can’t believe my mother turning down Jeffrey’s proposal like that last night,” Kevin agrees, “and then she wouldn’t tell us what was going on.” “It was very bizarre,” Jana states, “After your announcement about your new job, I wasn’t expecting the evening to end on such a low note.”
“I don’t think any of us were,” Kevin says...

Scene 3

Over at the Penthouse, Gloria Bardwell is also having trouble sleeping. Her significant other, Jeffrey Bardwell, joins her out in the living room, where she’s been pacing around the room.
“Gloworm, are you coming back to bed?” he asks. “What’s the point?” Gloria responds, “It’s practically morning now anyway.” There are a few moments of silence. “I don’t get it, Gloria,” Jeffrey admits, “Why you turned down my proposal. If it’s ‘cause you think I would turn on you again, like with the face cream, it’s not gonna happen…” Gloria keeps her head down. “It’s not that... I just couldn’t do it,” she says quietly, “I couldn’t become engaged to you the day before the anniversary of John’s death.”

Scene 4

It’s now early morning, and Heather is up bright and early after her night with Billy. She meets with her good friend and fellow lawyer Rafael “Rafe” Torres at Crimson Lights Coffee House. “I slept with Billy last night,” Heather announces. “What!?” Rafe exclaims, before lowering his voice, “How did that happen?” “We ran into each other at Jimmy’s,” Heather answers, “I took him back to his Trailer. One thing led to another…” “Okay, okay, I get the picture,” Rafe stops her from revealing any more, “What I don’t get is why Billy would do that…” “Thanks,” Heather replies sarcastically, taking Rafe’s comment almost as an insult. “Not that you’re not gorgeous or anything,” Rafe clarifies. “Not that you would even know that,” Heather remarks, referring to Rafe’s sexuality. “Right,” he says.

Heather is clearly suspicious of Rafe. “Do you know something you’re not telling me?” she asks. Rafe is the only other person that knows about Billy and Victoria’s marriage, but he doesn’t tell Heather. “No,” Rafe states. Heather doesn’t believe him. “That’s it, isn’t it?” she realizes, “Billy’s already seeing someone else, isn’t he?”

Scene 5

At the Renthouse, Roxanne Porter sits alone in the living room. She’s missing her boyfriend Devon Hamilton Winters – it’s their three-year anniversary, but Devon is away visiting his sister Ana Hamilton in Seattle.

Suddenly, there’s a knock on the door. Roxanne answers it, and sees a florist. The florist delivers a beautiful red rose. Roxanne closes the door and returns to the living room chair. She reads the message attached to the rose aloud: “Thinking of you, today and always. Happy Anniversary. Love, Devon.” She smiles and holds the rose up to her heart, feeling comforted.

Scene 6

Kevin and Jana continue their conversation in the kitchen of their apartment. “It was our anniversary a few days ago,” Kevin reveals. “I didn’t remember,” Jana replies softly. “I know… I mean, I realized that,” Kevin tells her, “I had something ready for you just in case you did, but I mean, I wasn’t expecting anything from you… And then, I didn’t know… do I tell you and then make you feel bad and awkward, or should I just not say anything and be thankful that even though you don’t remember it, we’re still here… together, whatever ‘together’ means these days…” “It means that we’re committed to trying to make our relationship work,” Jana replies, “I know I’ve been sending you mixed signals, but I do appreciate the way you’ve stood by me through all of this. Sometimes, I feel like I’ve pushed you away, but you’re still here, trying to support me.” “Well, we’re married, Jana,” Kevin reminds her, “Through sickness and in health, through good times and bad. That’s what we promised… to stand by each other no matter what. And that’s what I plan to do.”

Scene 7

Victoria and Billy continue their conversation. “What the hell was that?” Victoria shouts angrily, “You and Heather Stevens… how dare you cheat on me with her?” “How dare you just walk in here like you own the place?” Billy retorts. “First of all, you’re the one who called me and said you wanted to have a word with me,” Victoria defends herself, “So I’ve got a few words for you: how about cheater, backstabber, adulterer, womanizer…” Billy snickers. “That’s good. Well, how about this? I got one word for you… Annulment,” he throws it in her face, “It’s not cheating if we’re not together anymore.” “Just because we’re not together doesn’t mean you have to jump in bed with the first woman you lay eyes on!” Victoria shouts. “Jealous much!? Billy replies, with a laugh. Victoria stops for a moment. “I’m not jealous!” she denies it. “You are jealous,” Billy says playfully, “You are so jealous. Admit it. You’ve got a jealous bone, Mrs. Abbott.” He teases her. “Stop it!” Victoria demands, trying to remain serious but erupting into laughter. “You want me to stop? Then admit it, sweetheart,” Billy says, “You can’t stand that someone else is interested in me, and that I can actually be interested in someone else... You think that no one else can have me…” “No,” Victoria denies it. “Yes!” Billy insists, “You expect me to stay single for the rest of my life and grieve for our lost love, don’t you?” “Yes!” Victoria blurts out before realizing what she said, “No! I don’t know… maybe…” “Well, which is it? A, B, C, or D?” Billy asks, “And don’t make me guess because I was never good at taking tests.”

Scene 8

At the Coffee House, Heather continues to grill Rafe about her theory that Billy is seeing someone else. “It’s Victoria, isn’t it?” she asks. “No,” Rafe denies it immediately, sounding very unconvincing, “Billy and Victoria Newman… no way. Absolutely not. They have nothing in common… Why would you think that?” “How did you know right away I was talking about Victoria Newman?” Heather inquires. “What other Victoria do we know?” Rafe counters. Heather isn’t sure what to believe. “If you’re lying to me…,” Heather begins to utter a friendly threat. “I’m not,” Rafe insists.

“Look, for as long as I’ve known Billy, he’s never been the monogamous type,” Rafe tells Heather, “I just wouldn’t want to see you get hurt.” “Don’t worry, Rafe,” she replies, “Unlike with Adam, I’m going into this knowing exactly who Billy is…”

Scene 9

Victoria and Billy continue to discuss their relationship status. Victoria sighs. “Look, it just makes me think I meant nothing to you when I see that you can move on so quickly,” Victoria admits, “especially with Heather. I mean, don’t get me wrong, Paul is a great guy, but his daughter and I have had our differences.” “Honestly, I don’t think this has anything to do with Heather,” Billy tells his secret wife, “And really, I think it’s cute and all how you’re so possessive of me, but do I need to remind you that you’re the one who ended things?” Victoria has a realization. “You did this on purpose, didn’t you?” she accuses Billy. “Did what?” he asks defensively. “Brought Heather home, called me over here, then slept with her, so that I would find the two of you together,” Victoria elaborates. “If I did, I only did it to prove you still have feelings for me,” Billy replies. “I’m not denying that! Billy, I’m not leaving you because I don’t love you!” Victoria assures him, “I’m leaving you because it’s what I need to do to get custody of my son.”

“So then what are you saying?” Billy wants to clarify, “That you love me, but we can’t be together.” “That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Victoria confirms. “Can’t we just wait until after the custody hearing?” Billy asks. “When I get my son back, he needs to be my first and only priority,” Victoria replies, “So my answer is still no. My answer is still to get an annulment. I’m sorry…” “Me too,” Billy says softly as Victoria leaves once again. It’s a familiar picture for Billy who just experienced the same thing a few days earlier. “Damn it!” he shouts, throwing a glass against the wall. It shatters…

Scene 10

Gloria and Jeffrey continue their conversation in the living room of the Penthouse. “So that’s what this is about?” Jeffrey clarifies, “Your dead husband?” “Yes!” Gloria exclaims. “I don’t mean to be insensitive…,” Jeffrey begins, “I mean, I’ve always known how you feel about John, but remember your vows… ‘Til death do you part... Besides, you never had any problem marrying William or me, the first two times.” Gloria nods. “I know… that was different,” she insists, “I never said I don’t want to marry you. I just said I can’t do it right now. Because of what day it is.” “So tomorrow? Next week? When?” Jeffrey presses. “I don’t know right now,” Gloria answers, “I want to be engaged, Jeffrey, but I just need some time.” She heads back towards their bedroom. “I’m gonna go get dressed,” she announces, “I need some fresh air...”

Scene 11

Roxanne receives a phone call from her boyfriend, Devon Hamilton Winters, who is in Seattle. “Hey Baby,” he greets her. “Devon!” Roxanne exclaims, “It’s so good to hear your voice.” “Yours too,” Devon replies, “Hey... um, did you get the rose I sent you?” “Yes, I did,” Roxanne confirms, “It was beautiful; thank you.” “We’ll exchange our real presents when I get back,” Devon informs her. “Just having you home right now would be the best present I could ask for,” Roxanne answers, “Please tell me you’re coming home soon.” “Well, that’s kind of also why I’m calling,” Devon warns her. “Why don’t I like the sound of this?” Roxanne asks. “I’m gonna stay a couple extra days, okay?” Devon informs Roxanne, having already made his decision. Roxanne is confused. “Why?” she asks, “If Ana’s gonna be away at summer camp, why do you have to stay there?” “Because Tyra’s moving and she needs me to help her with the boxes,” Devon answers. Roxanne is frustrated. “That’s what a moving company’s for,” she says. “Please don’t be like that,” Devon requests, “especially today.” “I’m sorry, Devon, but how do you expect me to react?” Roxanne says, “You are gonna be staying… alone… with a woman that you cheated on me with… and you want me to say ‘go for it?’ ‘Have fun?’ I’m sorry, Devon, but I can’t do that…”

Scene 12

Kevin and Jana are at Genoa City Memorial Hospital, sitting in a waiting room as they wait for their appointment with Dr. Brian Hamilton. “I just want this to be over with,” Jana comments. “I know,” Kevin agrees, “We all do... but don’t worry... I’ll be right there by your side the whole time.”

Suddenly, a young-looking but middle-aged man steps out of the office. He walks over to Kevin and Jana. “Jana, I’m Dr. Hamilton,” he introduces himself as he shakes her hand. “Hello,” Jana mutters shyly. “I’m Kevin Fisher, Jana’s husband,” Kevin adds. “How do you do?” Brian replies.
“Um, is it alright if I sit in with her?” Kevin wonders. “Jana’s gonna be talking about her feelings,” Brian replies, “It’s best for her to be alone, so that she isn’t influenced in any way. I need her to be honest with me.” “Right,” Kevin nods. “We won’t be long, though,” Brian tells Kevin, “and I’ll give you a full update when we’re finished.” Kevin gives Jana a little encouragement and then takes a seat in the waiting room as she heads in to Dr. Hamilton’s office...

Scene 13

Gloria visits her late husband John Abbott’s grave at the cemetery. She lays some flowers down by the headstone and then speaks aloud to her husband. “My darling, John. I can’t believe it’s been four years… four long years,” she begins, “I’ve been thinking a lot about you lately, John… all the wonderful times we shared together. We weren’t married for very long, but there were so many of them.”

She takes a deep breath. “If only I had just told you sooner about Tom and his blackmail…,” she says regretfully, “I was just so afraid to lose you, the one man who had ever treated me with such love and respect, but now I realize, even if you had left me because of my deceit, at least you would still be alive today.” She pauses again for a brief moment and becomes teary-eyed.

“Jeffrey asked me to marry him again... You know, and even though I’ve moved on with him, I still can’t stop loving you. I know that if it hadn’t been for your love, I wouldn’t be where I am today. The truth is, I don’t know where I would be if I hadn’t met you…,” she admits, “I made a lot of mistakes, John, but you loved me, even with all of my faults. You just loved me for who I am, and I want to thank you again for that because I truly believe that you’ve made me a better person...”

Ashley Abbott is secretly listening to Gloria’s words to her father. Although she isn’t fond of Gloria, for once, she actually feels sorry for the woman and can see that her feelings for John were genuine…

Scene 14

After visiting with John at the cemetery, Gloria goes to see Ashley at the Jabot Office to relay the information that she found out about Ryder Callahan the previous night at dinner. She knocks on the office door and peeks inside. Ashley looks up from her work.

“Hi Gloria,” she says politely, somewhat taking Gloria by surprise. “Ashley, you’re being unusually pleasant today,” Gloria points out. Ashley remains polite. “I think considering what day it is today that we can get along, don’t you?” she asks her former step-mother. “For John’s memory, I think we can,” Gloria agrees. “Is that what brings you by?” Ashley asks. “No, actually… I already spent some private time with John,” Gloria admits, unaware that Ashley was there, “I’m here because last night, we had dinner… with Ryder, and I got some information out of him.” “Are you sure you want to do this today?” Ashley inquires. “Thinking about John has reminded me how important this job at Jabot is to me, and I want to show you I’m serious about keeping it,” Gloria responds, “You wanted me to get you information about Ryder, and I got it.” “Okay, Gloria,” Ashley agrees, “Then, I’m all ears…”

Scene 15

Billy arrives at Crimson Lights. Heather has already left, but Rafe is still there. Billy is talking on the phone to Chloe Mitchell, the mother of his daughter, Delia Abbott. Both of them are in Australia with Chloe’s current boyfriend, Phillip “Chance” Chancellor, IV. “Tell her Daddy loves her and misses her very much, and I’ll talk to her soon, okay?” Billy says, “Alright, thanks, Chloe. Bye.”

Billy approaches Rafe. “This time-difference stuff is really killer,” he informs his friend, “I haven’t talked to Delia in forever.” Rafe gives him a look. “What?” Billy asks, unaware that Rafe just met with Heather. “Billy… what were you thinking?” Rafe blasts him, “Sleeping with Heather when you’re married to Victoria?” “Yeah… about that…,” Billy begins, “I need an annulment after all…” Rafe looks stunned and confused.

Scene 16

Brian Hamilton is seated at his desk, about to find out more about Jana’s condition. She is seated across him.

“And your husband, Kevin, has tried to help you fill in the gaps?” Brian asks, “He’s been helping you try to remember the details of your past, is that right?” “He wants me to be like his wife again,” Jana answers, “We look at photo albums every night now. And he tells me about what’s happening in the pictures, and then asks me the next day to see if I can remember. He even got all of my family and friends to tell me about my life in Genoa City.” “And you’re supportive of wanting to learn about your old self, right?” Brian probes. Jana nods. “As long as we take it slow because sometimes it can get overwhelming,” she admits, “Like when Kevin got all of our family and friends together… he did it without telling me and it felt almost like an ambush…” She clarifies her previous statement. “I mean, I know his heart was in the right place, but that’s what it felt like to me,” she says.

“Tell me more about it how it feels when these memories are suddenly forced upon you,” Brian requests. “Are you a psychiatrist too?” Jana asks jokingly. “Just humor me, please,” Brian replies. Jana agrees. “Um, it feels… uncomfortable,” she informs him, not sure that she has the right word. She elaborates: “I’m not angry anymore. I mean, yes, it’s frustrating not being able to remember big things like my husband and our wedding anniversary, or even little things like what kinds of food I used to like, but I don’t feel angry. I think I’m starting to accept it and that’s why, to tell you the truth, I was even a little apprehensive about coming today… because I didn’t want to get my hopes up all over again.” “Is that all you feel: just frustrated?” Brian follows up. “No, I’m sad too. I’m really sad, actually… because I know I’ve disappointed so many people,” Jana admits, “Especially Kevin. Because I don’t remember them…”

Scene 17

Victoria has arrived at the Athletic Club. She sees an old man reading the latest edition of the Genoa City Chronicle. As the man holds up the paper, Victoria notices the large photo on the front page. It’s two teenage boys involved in a fight. One of them is clearly her nephew, Noah Newman.

“Excuse me,” Victoria interrupts the man. He puts down the paper and looks up at her. “Could I see that front page please?” Victoria requests. The man hands her the front page and Victoria reads the article: a feature on her nephew Noah getting into a fight with Kyle Abbott at Fenmore’s...

Scene 18

In the Jabot CEO Office, Gloria is finishing telling Ashley what she learned about Ryder’s upbringing and his relationship with Abby. “So Sarah may have been the controlling one, but he swears that any time he saw Tom, he was never abused,” Gloria explains. “I still want to know about Sheila,” Ashley requests, “What kind of effect she had on Ryder’s life growing up. I mean, the woman was psychotic, deranged, and a killer. Not to mention, her sister was just as crazy.” “I’ll get right on it,” Gloria agrees.

“This is a good start, Gloria,” Ashley unexpectedly compliments her, “Keep it up.” “And I’ll get a promotion?” Gloria presses. “Don’t push it,” Ashley responds. “Of course not,” Gloria says. She heads towards the door.

“Gloria…?” Ashley calls, getting Gloria’s attention before she leaves. “Yes, Ashley?” Gloria replies. “I’m sorry for your loss today,” Ashley offers. Gloria is caught off-guard by Ashley’s sentiment, but it seems sincere. “Thanks,” she says softly, “You too…”

Scene 19

Roxanne and Devon continue to talk on the phone. “Baby, you have to trust me on this,” Devon insists, “Tyra is not interested in me. I’m not interested in her. We’ve gotten past this. She’s been nothing but polite to me the whole time. She feels just as horrible as I do.” “She could just be putting on an act so that she can get you alone,” Roxanne theorizes. “That’s ridiculous,” Devon dismisses her concerns, “Don’t do this again, Roxy, please. I don’t know how many times I have to tell you I love you. I want to be with you. I am staying a few days to help Tyra out, but I’m coming home to you.” Roxanne takes a deep breath. “I know… I’m sorry. I do trust you. I just miss you so much,” she says, “I guess, when I agreed to stay in town instead of taking the job in Atlanta, I didn’t realize we would still be separated, that’s all.” “Listen… I miss you too, and I love you,” Devon repeats, “Read what I put on your rose again.” “Love always,” Roxanne recites. “That’s right… I’m thinking about you right now,” Devon assures her, “No one else…”

Scene 20

At the Coffee House, Rafe reacts to Billy’s news that he and Victoria want an annulment. “An annulment?” Rafe repeats, sounding skeptical, “That’s crazy!” “I know it is!” Billy agrees. “Then why are you going through with it?” Rafe demands, “And why were you with Heather last night?... Were you drinking?” “That’s beside the point,” Billy responds, “I knew what I was doing the whole time.” Rafe picks up on something, “When you say you knew what you were doing, you mean, you planned this?” he asks, “You planned for Victoria to find you and Heather?” Billy doesn’t speak for a moment. “Maybe,” he replies, with a smile. Rafe takes that as a yes. “And how did that go for you?” he asks. “Well, we’re still getting the annulment, aren’t we?” Billy answers. “Man, come on. You gotta stop playing these games,” Rafe advises his friend. “Not until Victoria realizes that what she’s doing, getting an annulment, is all wrong,” Billy insists, “I mean, a year ago, I would have laughed in your face if you told me I’d fall for Victoria Newman. But now, I don’t know if I can live without her…”

Scene 21

Victoria and Heather run into each other in the lobby of the Athletic Club as Victoria is leaving and Heather is preparing to return to her room. “Heather!” Victoria calls out. Heather looks back and sees Victoria. “I didn’t realize you had something going on with Billy,” Heather says, sounding somewhat apologetic. Victoria needs to keep their relationship a secret in order to ensure she has the best chance of getting custody of her son, Reed. “I don’t have anything going on with Billy,” Victoria insists, “You think that’s why I was there – at his trailer?” “It did cross my mind,” Heather admits. Victoria holds up the latest edition of the Genoa City Chronicle, featuring the story on Noah and Kyle’s fight at Fenmore’s. “No, I was there because of this… in the paper,” she lies, “and I wanted to make sure that Billy didn’t write anything about it in Restless Style.” “That [newspaper] just came out,” Heather replies, “You were at Billy’s almost two hours ago…” “I know, but I heard about it… from Nick,” Victoria explains, “and I figured that Jack must have told Billy. And knowing Billy, I thought he would run to his Web site and post something right away.” “Oh, okay,” Heather says, still not believing Victoria, “If you say so…” “I do say so,” Victoria insists. “Okay,” Heather says again, “Well, I’m glad that you and Billy don’t have anything going on because just between you and me, I think we’re gonna be seeing a lot more of each other.” Victoria doesn’t respond, but she gives a fake smile.

Scene 22

Kevin is sitting in the waiting room starting blankly ahead while Jana meets with neurologist Dr. Brian Hamilton. Finally, Brian opens the door. “Mr. Fisher…,” he invites Kevin inside. Kevin enters the office and has a seat beside Jana. “Well, how’s my wife doing?” he asks.

“I’ve ordered a SPECT scan,” Brian announces. Kevin is confused. “A SPECT scan?” he asks, “What’s that?” “It’s a type of nuclear imaging test,” Brian explains, “In English, it’ll provide an image of blood flow to Jana’s brain.” “How does it work?” Jana asks. “Before the scan, you’ll be injected with a radioactive chemical called a tracer,” Brian tells her, “It’s a dye that emits gamma rays that are detectable by the scanner.” “The chemical is injected into her blood stream?” Kevin asks. Brian nods. “Right into her blood stream, yes,” he confirms. “Are there any risks?” Kevin inquires. “Very minimal,” Brian answers, “Actually, the amount of radiation used is less than a regular chest x-ray, so as long as Jana’s not pregnant, she should be fine.” “I’m definitely not pregnant,” Jana replies. “Okay, then, why don’t we head down to Radiology?” Brian suggests. Jana still looks hesitant. “I’ll be right behind you,” Kevin encourages her. They head out of the office to prepare for the scan.

Scene 23

Gloria returns home to the Penthouse where Jeffrey has been waiting for her. “You’re back,” he states the obvious. “I had a talk with John, and I feel better now,” she informs him, “I know that John would want me to be happy. And I can remember him and still move on with you at the same time. So yes, Jeffrey Bardwell, yes, I will marry you.” She kisses Jeffrey.

Next Time on The Young and The Restless

Nikki Newman is about to have an interview with Roseanne Ryerson, regarding the custody case of Reed Hellstrom. “I mean no disrespect. I’m sure your services are… well, useful, in cases where they are actually needed,” Nikki adds, “But this isn’t one of them…”

Jack Abbott is speaking to his troubled son Kyle Abbott who got into two fights with Noah Newman the previous day. “I’m paying for the cost of the damages to the Coffee House and the Boutique, plus Noah’s medical expenses,” Jack tells his son, “That means… you’re gonna work off the cost of the damages.”

Sharon Newman and Daniel Romalotti, Jr. are talking in the living room of the Main House on the Newman Ranch. “I challenge you to a game of basketball.” Daniel smirks. “You challenge me?” he repeats. “I believe that’s what I said,” Sharon confirms.
