Scene 1

Noah Newman and Kyle Abbott are fighting each other in the middle of Crimson Lights Coffee House. Noah is retaliating over negative comments that Kyle made about his mother, Sharon Newman. “Hey! Hey – break it up, guys!” Kevin Fisher, the owner of the Coffee House, intervenes, pulling Kyle off of Noah and standing in between them to hold them back, “What the hell is going on here?” “He started it,” Kyle states, as he wipes blood from his lip. “No, he started it,” Noah insists, “by talking smack about my mom.” “Yeah, well, you took the first swing,” Kyle clarifies. “Look, it doesn’t even matter who started it,” Kevin shouts, “You guys made a huge mess, you disturbed customers… you’re both bleeding… Let me get you some ice. You’re lucky I don’t ban both of you from this place.”

Scene 2

In his trailer, Billy Abbott and his secret wife Victoria Newman are laying together on the couch. Victoria had come to Billy for comfort on the anniversary of her best friend Sabrina’s death. Billy strokes Victoria’s hair. “Wait, I can’t do this,” Victoria says suddenly, breaking the silence. “What? We’re married,” Billy replies, “We can do a lot more than this… and it’s legal… in the eyes of the church.” “No, that’s what I can’t do,” Victoria decides. “What’s wrong with innocent cuddling?” Billy asks. “Not that,” Victoria tells him, “Us… our marriage…” “What are you talking about?” Billy questions, still not fully realizing how serious she is. “I think we need to get the annulment after all,” Victoria announces. Billy is confused as to why Victoria has suddenly changed her mind.

Scene 3

Katherine Chancellor Murphy and her son Tucker McCall are meeting at the Athletic Club for lunch. “How do you like being back on top at Chancellor?” Tucker asks. “I’ll tell you… I can’t think of anything in my life that has felt so right,” Katherine replies. “Not even Murphy?” Tucker asks. “Well, you know what I mean,” Katherine says, “I’m talking about business. Murphy is in a whole league of his own.” “Yeah, he’s a great guy,” Tucker agrees, “Anyway, I’m sure you’ve had a lot of people asking you that lately… about Chancellor Industries…” “Well, yes, but it means a lot that you of all people would be interested to know the answer,” Katherine tells her son, “This meal has been so long overdue… I’m glad we’ve finally set aside some time to get to know one another. How about you?” “I haven’t regretted it yet,” Tucker replies. “Still a little hesitant, I see,” Katherine says, “Well, I hope that’ll change by the end of the meal.” She takes a drink.

“I was hoping I could hear more about your life growing up,” Katherine admits, “If you wouldn’t mind enlightening me.” “Well, growing up, we lived, you know, as your everyday, average American would. We didn’t have a whole lot, but we were thankful for what we had. You know, my adoptive parents, they were hard-working, family-oriented people,” Tucker explains, “I learned the value of hard work from an early age; I learned to appreciate simple things in life…” “So what you’re saying then is exactly what I’ve suspected all along… that you inherited your shark-like business sense from me,” Katherine says. “It appears that way,” Tucker agrees, “Don’t get me wrong. I have great respect for my adoptive parents. I saw them have to fight and work constantly in order to provide for me, and I give them credit for that. But I think that they were happy living that kind of simple life where they knew exactly what their day entailed every day when they woke up in the morning. And me, I wanted to be the one who fought his way to the top, instead of having to constantly fight just to make ends meet. I wanted to live a life that was more free, exciting… spontaneous. So that’s what I did.”

“You were happy as a child though?” Katherine asks. “I think so,” Tucker agrees, “For the most part, I can’t really complain.” “But you still always wondered about your birth parents?” Katherine probes, “Who they are? Why they gave you away?” “It’s something that only another person who’s been adopted can understand,” Tucker says, “but yes, the constant questions in your mind eat away at you sometimes… You try not to think about it, but on some level, you can’t help yourself. The only way to make all your worries go away is to answer the questions.” “Then you’ve reaffirmed my decision for me,” Katherine announces. “What decision is that?” Tucker asks, curiously. “Can you keep a secret?” Katherine replies. “I knew you were my mother for years, and I never told a soul,” Tucker reminds her. “Good point… I’ve hired Paul Williams to find Jill’s birth parents,” Katherine reveals.

Scene 4

Daniel Romalotti, Jr. is sitting out by the garden of the Newman Ranch, painting the beautiful scenery. Sharon Newman approaches him from behind. This is the same exact spot that Sharon and Daniel met a few days ago.

Daniel looks back to see who’s coming and notices Sharon. “Hey. We meet again,” he greets her. Sharon smiles. “We have been crossing paths a lot lately, haven’t we?” she agrees. She watches Daniel paint for a few moments. “I don’t normally paint… I’m usually more into sketching,” he confesses, “but I was looking for some new inspiration, and I remembered this place, and I thought, you know, the colors were really worth capturing.” “You definitely have an eye for beauty,” Sharon compliments him, looking at his canvas so far.

Scene 5

Kyle and Noah are sitting at separates tables in the Coffee House. Kevin returns from the back room with two ice packs. “Wow, I left you two alone and no one got killed…,” he remarks, “Here’s some ice…” “Thanks, Kevin,” Noah says as he places the ice pack to his cheek. “Sure,” Kevin replies nicely. He walks over to Kyle’s table.

“I don’t need ice,” Kyle says, refusing Kevin’s offer, “I’m not even hurt. Noah here couldn’t hurt me even if he tried.” “You really should stop running your mouth,” Kevin warns Kyle. “Thanks for the free advice, but I hear you’re a little nuts,” Kyle replies, obviously referring to Kevin’s stint as the Silver Chipmunk, “Get it?” “Ha ha, you really got me there,” Kevin says jokingly, “Who are you anyway?” “Name’s Kyle,” he answers, “Kyle Jenkins.” He doesn’t say Abbott this time. “Are you lying to me?” Kevin asks. “Nope,” Kyle answers. “Well, Kyle Jenkins, I suggest you leave before you do anymore damage,” Kevin says, “And consider yourself warned. Another incident like this and you’ll not only be banned, but you’ll be paying for the damages.”

Kyle obeys and gets up to leave the Coffee House. “Peace,” he says to Kevin as he walks away, making a peace sign with his hand. He glares at Noah, who tries to avoid eye contact, but end up looking over at Kyle as he passes by. “Later, step-brother,” Kyle says, continuing to taunt Noah, “Good to see you.” As Kyle finally leaves, Kevin and Noah both shake their heads and say “jerk” aloud in unison.

Scene 6

Katherine and Tucker continue their conversation about Jill’s birth parents as they eat lunch at the Athletic Club. “So I take it Jill doesn’t know that you’re searching for her birth parents?” Tucker inquires. “No, I want it to be her birthday present, assuming that Paul is able to track them down for real this time,” Katherine answers. “Which is why you’ve asked me here,” Tucker deduces. “Well, one of the reasons, yes,” Katherine confirms, “I mean, you are responsible for that whole mess with Joanne Glover, are you not?” “Guilty,” Tucker admits. “And you tracked down Charlotte Ramsey and paid her to claim that I had a daughter. Then you paid her to disappear, didn’t you?” Katherine questions, “To stay off the radar so that no one could question her about what really happened the night of your birth.” “Guilty again,” Tucker nods. “So this is where we have to pick up the investigation,” Katherine says, “with Charlotte Ramsey… are you still in touch with her?”

Tucker takes a deep breath. “Well, remember, that was a few years ago that I paid her to disappear,” Tucker prefaces his speech, “and unfortunately, Charlotte… well, you remember, she had an alcohol problem. She’s been in a home for the past two-and-a-half years. I pay for her care. But she’s so out of it these days, I really don’t think she’d be any use.” “What about her sister Eileen?” Katherine asks, “Is she alive?” “I don’t know anything about Eileen,” Tucker admits, “I never met the woman… I couldn’t tell you the first thing about her.”

Scene 7

Daniel arrives at Crimson Lights Coffee House. His best friend Kevin had called him to tell him about his step-brother Noah’s fight. “Hey, thanks for calling me,” Daniel says to Kevin. “Yeah, no problem,” Kevin replies, “I know you were right in the middle of your art and stuff, but I thought you’d wanna know.” “So what happened?” Daniel asks. “Some jerk was bothering him,” Kevin explains, “I guess the kid said something about Sharon, and they went at it.” “I’ll talk to him,” Daniel says.

He approaches Noah’s table. “Hey buddy, what’s goin’ on?” Daniel asks Noah. Noah looks up at him unenthusiastically, and doesn’t say anything. “We haven’t really had much of a chance to get caught up since you got back from Paris,” Daniel states, “So do you want to tell me what you’ve been up to lately? Or why you’re holding an ice pack to your face?” “I really don’t,” Noah replies. “Okay, you don’t wanna talk, that’s fine,” Daniel says, “But don’t keep it inside. You have some steam to blow off -- how about you and me – one on one – basketball at the Athletic Club?”

Scene 8

At his trailer, Billy responds to Victoria’s unexpected request for an annulment. “I don’t understand,” he mutters, “Where is this coming from?” “Billy, it had to happen eventually,” Victoria answers, “I just want it to be sooner rather than later. Before we get in too deep.” “I think it’s a little late for that,” Billy admits. “Can you look me in the eye and tell me that you really, truly love me?” Victoria asks him. “Yes,” Billy says, without hesitation, “Maybe I couldn’t back in Jamaica, but I can say it one-million percent for certain now.” “So do I,” Victoria confesses, “But we have to be realistic… you’re an Abbott; I’m a Newman… it could never work.” “Who says?” Billy counters, “We’re not your father and Ashley.” “I say,” Victoria replies.

“You’re like a Yo-yo,” Billy says, “Up and down. ‘I wanna be married,’ then ‘let’s get an annulment,’ then ‘let’s stay married,’ and now ‘let’s get an annulment again’?” “I’m sorry,” Victoria apologizes, “I just… I have my son to think about. Reed needs to be my number one priority… no, my only priority. That’s just the way it has to be, Billy…” “No… no, you are not thinking straight,” Billy protests, “You’re upset about Sabrina… the custody case… and I don’t know what else…” “No, the custody case is the reason why I am thinking straight,” Victoria corrects him, “Can you imagine how it would make me look if it came out that we flew to Jamaica on a whim, got drunk, and got married to each other? I would look unstable, unfit, irresponsible… No judge would give me custody of Reed after that. Billy, we can’t keep hiding this marriage. I’ve already had to lie because I was afraid of what would happen if anyone found out. The longer we stay married, the greater the risk that someone will find out about us. So that’s why it has to end.”

Scene 9

Katherine and Tucker continue their conversation about Jill’s birth parents as they eat lunch at the Athletic Club. “What I still can’t figure out is… I gave you, my baby, away to Charlotte Ramsey,” Katherine recalls, “I told her to take my son away, make sure he couldn’t be traced back to me. She took you to the adoption agency and gave them her name instead of my name as your mother. So how did Charlotte’s name end up on Jill’s birth certificate?” “An error at the adoption agency?” Tucker speculates. “Well, it must be,” Katherine agrees, “because we know for a fact that Charlotte Ramsey cannot be Jill’s birth mother.” “Is it possible that someone deliberately altered Jill’s birth record?” Tucker wonders, “That by some happenstance, they picked my birth certificate and recorded the same information onto Jill’s… mother’s name, birth date, birthplace, in order to cover up the real story?” “Well, I’m starting to think anything is possible,” Katherine admits, “But whatever the case, one thing I know for sure is that Jill deserves to know the truth about her birth parents… whatever it may be.”

Scene 10

Kyle arrives at Fenmore’s Boutique, where his cousin, Abby Carlton, is working. The store is quite busy now on account of the underwear sale going on in conjunction with National Underwear Day. Luckily, another sales associate has arrived and Abby can take a short break to talk to Kyle.

Kyle approaches her. “Hey!” Abby exclaims. “I got your message, cuz,” he says, “I’m not usually an affectionate type of guy, but I’ll make an exception for you… Give me a hug.” Abby hugs him. “It’s so weird seeing you someplace other than on my computer screen.” “I know, right?” Kyle replies, “No more late night chats or webcam convos.” “Well, we can still do that,” Abby says, “when my parents finally give me back my laptop.”

“Oh yeah, you’re grounded, right?” Kyle recalls, “That’s why you couldn’t attend the ‘Welcome Back Kyle Extravaganza’ at Jack’s the other night?” “Did I really miss out on anything?” Abby inquires. “Only if you wanted to see me tell them all off,” Kyle informs her. “Ooh, I would have actually liked to see that,” Abby says, “They all need to be taken down a few notches.” “You’re really not taking this grounding well, are you?” Kyle realizes, “What’d you do this time anyway?” “Nothing! That’s the thing,” Abby insists, “My parents just hate the guy I like.” “Of course,” Kyle remarks, “So typical of parents…” “Yeah. That is so like them to try and control me,” Abby adds, “I’m sick of it. I told them that too.” “Good girl,” Kyle compliments her, “I hope you’re not gonna give in to them just because they grounded you.” “Of course not,” Abby says confidently, “I’m just gonna be smarter about the way I operate. I’m gonna let them think they have me right where I want me.” Kyle smirks. “We think so much alike,” he realizes, “At least I can see how I’m actually related to you.”

“Wow, this is so much better than chatting online,” Abby tells her cousin, “We’re gonna have fun this summer; I can feel it.” “I’m down for that,” Kyle says, “And anything that makes our parents squirm is even better.” “Good. I was hoping you’d say that because I need you to do me a favor,” Abby reveals. “Already, you need a favor from me?” Kyle asks, “This oughta be good.” “How would you like to be an underwear model?” Abby inquires.

Scene 11

Nicholas Newman enters Crimson Lights. Kevin is resetting the table and chairs that were knocked over during Kyle and Noah’s fight, and picking up the broken salt and pepper shakers shattered on the floor. He looks up, sees Nick, and nods to acknowledge him. “Hey, Kevin,” Nick says, “When you got a minute, can I get a coffee?” “Sure, um, just give me a second,” Kevin replies.

“What happened here?” Nick inquires. “Two kids went at it earlier,” Kevin answers, “Actually… one of them was your son,” Kevin informs Nick. “Noah got into a fight?” Nick reacts. “Yeah, but in his defense, the other kid was a jerk. I’ve never seen him around here before,” Kevin says, “And I’ve never had any problems with Noah before, so I’m inclined to believe that he was defending himself.” “Do you know where he went?” Nick asks. “Yeah, he’s with Daniel,” Kevin replies, “They’re playing basketball at the GCAC.” “So he’s okay?” “Yeah, I gave him some ice for his face, but he’s gonna be fine.” “Good,” Nick says, “Maybe not when I’m through with him though.” Kevin chuckles a little. He moves over to the front counter and gets Nick his coffee. “Um, here’s your coffee,” he says. “Thanks,” Nick replies, as he hands Kevin a one-hundred dollar bill, “To cover the damages.” “Thanks,” Kevin says, “Um… I gotta take off for a bit. Can you excuse me?” “Yeah, sure. No problem,” Nick responds. Kevin heads out the door.

Scene 12

Daniel and Noah are out on the Athletic Club basketball court. They each take a few practice shots. Noah misses the net. He catches the ball and angrily throws it against the wall.

“Still in a bad mood, huh?” Daniel asks. He picks up the basketball that Noah threw as it rolls past him, dribbles it a few times, and then tosses it back to Noah. “Let’s play 21,” Daniel suggests, “Come on. Your shot.” Noah takes the shot and scores a basket. “You think you can take me?” he replies to Daniel. “Any day of the week,” Daniel says confidently.

Scene 13

Tucker and Katherine are about to conclude their lunch meeting at the Athletic Club. “I’ll make a few calls and see if I can find out anything about this Eileen Ramsey,” Tucker offers, “If something turns up, should I come to you or go directly to Paul?” “Either’s fine,” Katherine answers, “But just remember… you don’t need a reason to come and visit your mother.” “I’ll try to remember that,” Tucker replies softly.

“You know, some people that search for their birth mothers, they realize just how lucky they were to be adopted… that their mother was some horrible person who threw them away like trash and never looked back,” Tucker expresses, “And some other people, well, they find out that everything they thought about their birth mother was wrong. One mistake doesn’t make a bad person, Katherine, and I realize that now. I hope Jill can find out the same thing about her mother too.” “Oh, Tucker, you don’t know how long I’ve waited to hear you say those words,” Katherine says.

Scene 14

In Billy’s trailer, Billy and Victoria continue their conversation after Victoria has just decided she wants an annulment. “So you want us to go back to living in sin, then?” Billy asks. Victoria can’t help but smile, although she knows she shouldn’t. “This is not the time to be making jokes,” she scolds him, even though she’s trying not to laugh. “I made you smile!” Billy teases her. “Okay, you did,” Victoria admits, “but that doesn’t change anything. I still think we need to go our separate ways.”

“Actually, you know what else it doesn’t change?” Billy tells her, “Our feelings for each other…” “I admit, it is taking every ounce of self-control in me not to kiss you right now,” Victoria says, “But I have to be the rational one, so I’m gonna hold back…” “I’m not,” Billy tells her as he leans in suddenly and kisses her on the lips. Victoria pulls away. “Please don’t make this any harder,” she requests, “This was fun while it lasted, but if anything that we’re doing here can come back to haunt me and make me lose my son again… permanently this time, then I couldn’t live with myself.”

Scene 15

Kevin arrives at Tucker’s home office. Tucker lets him inside and they head over to Tucker’s desk. “You seem nervous,” Tucker notices, “What’s up?” “Letter of resignation,” Kevin answers as he presents Tucker with the envelope. Tucker nods. “I’m sorry to hear that,” he replies, “Can I ask why?” “Another opportunity came along,” Kevin answers. “You goin’ to work for the competition?” Tucker asks, already having an idea of the answer. “Mrs. Chancellor and I have talked a bit,” Kevin admits. “Hmmm…. well, you’re a good worker, Kevin,” Tucker compliments him, “I’m sorry to lose you, but I understand. Maybe we’ll work together again in the future. Sooner than you think.”

Scene 16

Kyle reacts to Abby’s idea to be an underwear model. “Where’d that come from?” he asks. “Didn’t you see the signs on the way in?” Abby said, “I just set that whole window display up this morning… it’s for National Underwear Day and I want you to help me bring in customers so that I can impress my boss.” Kyle doesn’t say anything back. “I need someone who doesn’t mind making a spectacle and showing off a little,” Abby adds. “That is definitely me,” Kyle admits, before making a decision, “Okay, I’ll do it. But for my own selfish reasons. You gotta do somethin’ for me in return,” he tells her. “Name it,” Abby agrees. “Call every hot girl from Walnut Grove and GC High,” Kyle says. “If I’m gonna be struttin’ my stuff, I wanna make sure I attract some attention… ”

Scene 17

Nick lets himself inside the Main House of the Newman Ranch. “Sharon?” he calls out. His ex-wife Sharon comes downstairs. “Nick, is everything alright?” Sharon asks. “No. “I just came from the Coffee House,” he responds, “Kevin told me that Noah got in a fight with some kid there this morning.” “Oh my gosh! Is he hurt?” Sharon asks, concerned, “Where is he?” “A few cuts and bruises, but nothing major,” Nick explains, “And I guess, Daniel took him to the Athletic Club to play basketball.” “Let’s go,” Sharon says.

Scene 18

Noah and Daniel are nearing the end of their one-on-one basketball game at the Athletic Club.
Noah shoots from the three-point line and scores a basket. “Twenty-one!” he shouts, “Which means, I win! By a land-slide.” “You got me,” Daniel concedes, “For once.” He wipes the sweat off his forehead. “Get used to it!” Noah trash-talks back jokingly, “The learner has surpassed the master.” “We’ll see about that,” Daniel replies, “I demand a re-match! But not today obviously… you are rockin’ me right now.” “Tomorrow then?” Noah asks. “You’re that eager to lose, huh?” Daniel replies. “Eager to win again,” Noah corrects him. “Yeah, okay, bud, you’re on. Tomorrow sounds great,” Daniel agrees, “See, you feel better, right?” “Yeah, I do,” Noah admits. “I told you you just had to work all that anger out of your system,” Daniel says, “Now, promise me, in the future you’re not gonna let this kid get to you. And if he keeps giving you trouble, don’t resort to fighting. You don’t have to prove anything to him.”

Nick and Sharon arrive at the basketball court. Daniel is the first to notice. “Noah,” he says quietly, getting his attention and subtly nodding his head to alert Noah to the fact that his parents are standing behind him. Noah turns around, knowing he’s about to get an earful from both of them.

Scene 19

Kevin has returned to the Coffee House and is joined by Katherine at the front counter. “So I did it,” Kevin tells her, “I officially resigned from McCall.” Katherine is happy to hear the news. “Does he know you’re coming to work for me?” she asks. “I told him we talked about it,” Kevin answers, “He seemed understanding.” Katherine nods: “Yeah… Tucker is surprisingly… or maybe not surprisingly, but um, Tucker McCall… he’s a nice guy.”

Scene 20

In his home office, Tucker is speaking on the phone to his attorney, Alex Perez. Only Tucker can be heard. “Cozying up to Katherine is going great, Alex… I mean, if I get a mother when it’s all said and done, I’ll take it, but let’s not forget, that’s not why we’re doing this…,” he tells her, “Yeah, about that… I’ve changed my mind. Neil is a valued friend and employee to Katherine. I think, if you can get him on board, she’d be more likely to agree to this merger.”

Scene 21

Victoria and Billy finish their conversation in Billy’s trailer. “I’m gonna call a lawyer first thing in the morning, file for an annulment,” Victoria informs Billy. “Victoria…,” Billy says her name softly. He wants to try to convince her otherwise, but he can tell her mind is made up. “I’m sorry, Billy, but this is goodbye…,” she tells him as she turns around and walks out the door without looking back. “Goodbye…,” Billy whispers.

Next Time on The Young and The Restless

While he is supposed to be modeling and selling underwear at Fenmore’s, Kyle Abbott takes time to hit on a teenaged girl named ‘Sully.’ “So what exactly have you heard about me?” Sully asks him. “That you don’t mind havin’ a little fun… hint hint,” Kyle says, “Just like me.”

Tucker McCall and Ashley Abbott are meeting at the Athletic Club to have lunch and discuss Jabot. “Why don’t we forget about all the business talk?” Tucker suggests. “Then, that would be like a date,” Ashley replies. “So what if it would?”

Later, at Fenmore’s, Kyle and Noah Newman have another altercation. “Are you gonna shut your mouth now, or do I have to shut it for you?” Noah asks, getting right up in Kyle’s face. “Okay, guys, this has gone far enough,” Abby tries to stop them. She stands in between them to keep them from attacking each other.
