Scene 1

It’s the start of a bright new morning in Genoa City. At Phyllis Newman’s Penthouse, Gloria Bardwell and Jeffrey Bardwell are preparing for a dinner party to be held at their house that evening. “Are you sure we have room for all these people?” Jeffrey inquires, “Sometimes it feels like we barely have room for just the two of us.” “Oh, honey, it’ll be fine,” Gloria assures him as she hands him a stack of plates, “Here… help me set the table.” “Already?” Jeffrey asks. “Yes, I need to have everything ready early… in case when I start cooking, something goes wrong,” Gloria admits, “I’m just afraid if I screw up the cooking and I have to fix it, I’ll forget to do something like setting the table.” “How many plates we need?” Jeffrey asks as he starts laying them out. “Let’s see… there’s me and you, Michael and Lauren, Scott and Fen, Kevin and Jana, Eden, Ryder…,” Gloria counts aloud, “How many’s that? Ten?” “And why do we have to invite all these people over anyway?” Jeffrey wonders. “Six years ago, Jeffrey, I had no one,” Gloria recalls, “No Kevin. No Michael. No John… or you… or William. I lived alone in a run-down apartment in Detroit, and I had to scrape by waiting tables. Sometimes we take family for granted, and that’s what today is all about. Making sure we acknowledge those that are close to us.” “That would be Michael and Lauren, and Kevin and Jana,” Jeffrey insists, “Don’t get me wrong. I’ve accepted your kids as family… it’s all the other half-relatives I’m talking about.” “Honey, Michael and Lauren’s family and Kevin’s family is still our family,” Gloria explains, “Besides, I owe Scott the ‘Welcome’ dinner that I promised him at the Newman pool party. And Ryder, well, let’s just say I have my reasons for wanting to get close to him.” “What reasons?” Jeffrey demands. “All in good time, my dear,” Gloria teases. “I thought we said no more secrets between us,” Jeffrey reminds her. “Every woman is entitled to a few secrets,” Gloria says. “Oh forget it,” Jeffrey replies, “Actually, I’ve got a secret of my own. One that I’m sure you’ll get a kick out of…”

Scene 2

At the Baldwins’ Apartment, Michael Baldwin, his wife Lauren Fenmore Baldwin, and their son Fenmore Baldwin are spending time together as they eat breakfast. Michael’s younger half-sister Eden Gerick emerges from her room and is clearly in a rush. “Good morning and goodbye!” she shouts as she heads for the front door. “Woah, woah, woah!” Michael calls out, “Hold up!” Eden stops in her tracks. “Where’re you off to?” Lauren asks. “I’m meeting Noah,” Eden replies. “Aren’t you forgetting something?” Lauren continues. “Um… breakfast?” Eden guesses, “I’m meeting Noah at the Coffee House, so I’ll just pick up something there.” “No… what I meant is… you didn’t ask for permission,” Lauren tells Eden, “I know you’re 17 and you wanna be able to come and go as you please, but you still shouldn’t be making plans without first consulting me or Michael.” “Okay… I’m sorry,” Eden apologizes, “May I go to the Coffee House with Noah?” “That’s better,” Lauren replies, “and yes, you may…” “Thanks!” Eden shouts excitedly as she continues for the door. “Wait!” Lauren calls, “You’re still watching Fen for me later, right?” “Yes, I’ll be home soon!” Eden yells back as she rushes out.

Lauren takes a deep breath. “You handled that very well,” Michael compliments her. “Well, I’ve learned a thing or two about how to deal with teenagers…,” Lauren replies.

Scene 3

Jack Abbott sits in the dining room of the Abbott Manor, reading the newspaper. His former girlfriend and new houseguest Diane Jenkins joins him at the table. “Good morning,” she says politely. Jack looks up from the paper. “Good morning to you,” he says back, “Here…have a seat. Do you want anything to drink – coffee? Orange juice?” “Thanks, but I’m fine for right now,” Diane answers, “Maybe later.” “Is Kyle up yet?” Jack asks, “I was hoping he could join us for breakfast.” Diane chuckles. “You can forget about that,” she responds, “He’s not gonna be up until at least noon. Probably later.” “That’s right… I forgot. Teenagers are nocturnal,” Jack replies, “You know, I heard him playing some video game past midnight. Maybe what we should do is set Kyle up on a schedule.” “You mean, like a curfew, a bedtime, a wake-up time?” Diane clarifies. “That’s exactly what I’m saying,” Jack confirms, “As it stands, Kyle gets to do whatever he wants.” “Are you saying that’s my fault?” Diane asks, taking a bit of offense to Jack’s comments. “No, look, I’m saying, Kyle needs some structure and an authority figure in his life,” Jack elaborates, “You would tell him no. What would he do? He’d laugh in your face and do it anyway. Well, that’s gotta stop and it’s gonna stop today. When we tell Kyle to do something, he better do it. Or there’ll be hell to pay…”

Scene 4

In the dining room of the Main House on the Newman Ranch, Sharon Newman, her son Noah Newman, and her niece Abby Carlton are eating breakfast. “So, Abby… how do you like your job at Fenmore’s?” Sharon asks. “It’s super-cool!” Abby answers, “I love it. And I’ve been dying to get out of this house… That’s the only time I can leave is when I have to work…” “It’s still funny to hear you and ‘work’ in the same sentence,” Noah jokes. “Shut up, Noah,” Abby replies, but in a joking way. “Honey, everyone has to face the real world at some point,” Sharon tells him, “I applaud you, Abby, for stepping up and trying to take care of yourself. You know, that’s the example I want to set for Faith.” “Thank you,” Abby replies, “At least someone understands.” “I offered to drop you off… at work,” Sharon tells Abby, “I thought you might not wanna be shuttled around by one of your father’s drivers.” “I can drop her off… on my way to the Coffee House,” Noah offers. “Victor wouldn’t want that,” Sharon replies, “and actually, since I’m going into town, why don’t you let me drop you off at the Coffee House? We only need to take one vehicle... unless it would be too much of an embarrassment to be seen with your mother.” “I never said that,” Noah replies. “I know I wouldn’t want to be seen with my parents,” Abby chimes in. “About that, I know you and your father haven’t been getting along, but please… be very nice to Victor today,” Sharon requests of Abby, “It’s a hard day for him…”

Scene 5

Meanwhile, in the living room of the Main House on the Newman Ranch, Victor Newman is staring at a sketch of his late wife, Sabrina Costelana Newman, who was killed in a car accident two years ago. The doorbell rings and his thoughts are interrupted. “I’ll get it!” he calls out to the staff. He walks over to the front door, opens it, and sees his daughter Victoria Newman. “Daddy,” she says softly as she gives him a hug. “Sweetheart…,” Victor mutters, trying to comfort her. “You know what today is, right?” Victoria asks. “Of course I do, sweetheart,” Victor confirms, “I was just admiring the portrait of Sabrina that Daniel drew.” “I remember that…,” Victoria recalls, “It really captured her spirit, that infectious smile of hers… I’m glad you kept that.”

They sit down in the living room. “Even though I’m happy again with your mother, I’ll never forget the joy that Sabrina brought into my life during a very dark time,” Victor confides, “She was one of the kindest people I’ve ever met in my life, and it still hurts me to think of how her life came to an untimely end.” “Which you know Mom was not responsible for…?” Victoria clarifies. “Yes, of course, I know that,” Victor confirms, “That was my grief talking when I said that I blamed her. I love Nikki very much, even though I didn’t want to see it at the time.” “Where is mom?” Victoria inquires. “Your mother gave me some alone time,” Victor answers, “I think she knew… about today, but she didn’t want to say anything.” “Well, it was a difficult time for her too,” Victoria understands, “I’m sure she just didn’t want to upset you by bringing it up.”

Victoria starts crying. “Sweetheart, what’s the matter?” Victor asks. “We should have been godmothers to each other’s children,” Victoria cries, “Daddy, Sabrina should have been here to see your child grow up, and our children should have played together and grown up together…” “I think about that sometimes, you know, the child that I lost with Sabrina, the child that I lost with Ashley,” Victor admits, “And after the utter disappointment Adam turned out to be, I’m so grateful to have you and Nicholas, and to have a second chance at fatherhood with Abby. I don’t want to lose her too.” “You won’t lose her, Daddy,” Victoria assures her father, “It’s just a phase that all teenagers go through. And if you ask me, what you’re going through with Abby is nothing compared to what some other parents go through, so you should consider yourself lucky…”

Scene 6

Teenager Kyle Abbott is asleep in his bedroom when Jack comes to wake him up. He knocks on the door loudly and calls Kyle name. Kyle rolls over. “Go away,” he mumbles, still half asleep. He pulls the blanket over his head to block out the sun and Jack’s voice. Jack knocks a few more times and then just walks in. He turns on the light and opens the blinds to let even more light inside. Kyle is still burying himself under the blankets. “Leave me alone,” Kyle mutters, “It’s too early.”

“I want you to get yourself dressed and be downstairs ready for breakfast in ten minutes,” Jack orders. Kyle springs up. “What?” he shouts, “You’re crazy, man!” “Crazy or not, I expect you to listen to me,” Jack says, remaining firm. “What is this? Some kind of boot camp?” Kyle asks angrily, “Do I have to shave my head too? Drop and give you twenty?” “Do you have to give me attitude?” Jack counters, “For once, Kyle, just do what you’re told…” Kyle plops back down onto the bed. “Ten minutes,” Jack repeats as he walks towards the door, “Be downstairs…” He leaves the room. An annoyed Kyle shakes his head and rolls over in the bed.

Scene 7

Sharon and Noah arrive at the Coffee House, where Eden has already been waiting. Noah and Eden greet each other and Noah gives her a kiss on the cheek. Sharon realizes that she should give them some alone time. “Just let me get a coffee and then I’ll leave you two kids alone,” she announces. She heads over to the counter.

“You promised me a pool party, remember?” Eden reminds Noah. “I did,” he admits, “What are you thinking? An ‘End of Summer’/’Back to School’ Bash?” “Yes, that would be so awesome!” Eden exclaims, “There’s so many kids from school we haven’t gotten to see since we got back from Paris.” “Okay... yeah, let’s make it happen,” Noah agrees. “Next week sometime,” Eden adds. “I’ll have to ask my grandfather if we can use the pool,” Noah realizes, “And of course, there’ll have to be chaperones…” Both of them seem disappointed at that…

Scene 8

At Fenmore’s Boutique, Lauren goes over the ‘ground rules’ with Abby. “I’ll be in and out all day,” she warns Abby, “I wanna make sure you can handle everything.” “I’ll be fine,” Abby assures her, “I handled it last time, didn’t I?” “Yes, you did,” Lauren admits, “But do you remember how to use the cash register?” “Yes,” Abby answers. “Okay, and you know the rules… no Ryder, right?” Lauren reminds her new employee, “No personal phone calls either… I have to be able to trust you here.” “This is the only time I’m allowed out of the house right now, so I’m not gonna blow it,” Abby insists. “Okay, I need you to set up these mannequins for display in the front window,” Lauren instructs, as she points to a few undressed mannequins and a pile of underwear. “That’s all they’re wearing?” Abby asks. “Yes. Haven’t you heard? Today is National Underwear Day…,” Lauren explains, “We have a special half-price sale today and other deals going on all month… I’m hoping we can capitalize on the day to bring in a lot of customers… give them something that catches their attention and draws them in. You think you can do that?” “Definitely,” Abby replies confidently.

Scene 9

Kyle comes downstairs, still groggy. He joins Jack and Diane in the dining room of the Abbott Manor. Jack is impressed. “Look at that,” he begins, “he made it.” “Kyle, honey, take a seat,” Diane instructs, “Breakfast will be ready in a few minutes.” “Not hungry,” Kyle answers, as he turns around to walk away. “Sit!” Jack says sternly, “This is how we do things here. We have breakfast as a family. It’s the most important meal of the day… we spend it together.” “Ooh, this’ll make my life complete,” Kyle remarks sarcastically. “It might, if you give it a chance,” Jack suggests, “Now, you don’t have to say anything right now. But you’re here… that’s a start.” “And what kind of finish are you expecting, Jack?” Kyle asks, “That we’ll be best friends, that we’ll form some semblance of a father-son bond? Well, I’m telling you right now it’s not gonna happen. I don’t care about you. I don’t care about Genoa City. Now leave me the hell alone.” He storms off.

Diane holds Jack back from going after Kyle. “Kyle, where are you going?” Diane calls out. “Coffee House,” Kyle shouts, “and don’t you dare try to follow me.” He leaves the Abbott Manor, slamming the door behind him. Diane looks back at Jack, who is speechless about how to handle the situation.

Scene 10

Gloria is in the kitchen of the Penthouse attempting to prepare a meal. First, she’s working on the bean salad. The ingredients are spread out all over the counter. Gloria begins to read the directions on the recipe. “Okay, in a large bowl, combine olive oil, vinegar, fresh parsley… mix well… did that,” she says aloud, “So next… combine remaining ingredients and toss… Toss?” She doesn’t understand the terminology. Gloria takes the cans of beans, some corn, and some onion, and pours it all into the bowl. She stirs it all together and is happy with how it looks. “There we go,” she decides, “See, that was easy, Gloria. Nothin’ to worry about!” She puts the salad out on the table, not realizing that it has to be refrigerated…

Scene 11

Jack and Diane discuss Kyle’s outburst. “I cannot believe he just did that,” Jack vents. “What are we gonna do about it?” Diane asks. Jack paces around the room, trying to find the right answer. “Um, just let him go to the Coffee House, cool off…,” he mutters, realizing that Kyle already left, so it doesn’t really matter what he says. “We can’t keep doing this though,” Diane realizes, ‘We can’t keep letting him run us.” Jack takes out his cell phone.

“Who’re you calling?” Diane inquires. “Billy,” Jack answers, “He’ll know what to do.” Jack dials Billy’s number and he answers his phone. “Billy… I need your help,” Jack demands. “Is this about Kyle?” Billy Abbott asks, already knowing the answer. “Yes,” Jack confirms. “So, who was right, Jacky?” Billy says, “Who did you come runnin’ to? Me.” “Can you forget the gloating, and just help me out?” Jack requests. “Yeah, yeah, sure,” Billy says, sounding more serious, “What do you need?” “Will you go check up on Kyle?” Jack asks, “He said he was going to the Coffee House... he took my car. Just… pretend like you’re going for coffee and see if he’s there.” “Um, yeah… I can do that,” Billy agrees, “You’re lucky I’m not at the magazine today…”

Scene 12

The Baldwin-Fishers minus Gloria have assembled at Michael and Lauren’s apartment at Jeffrey’s request. Michael, Kevin Fisher, and Lauren await a big announcement that he’s promised them, not sure what to expect…

“So what’s this important announcement you wanted to warn us about?” Kevin inquires. “Tonight, at dinner, I’m gonna propose to your mother,” Jeffrey announces, “I’m gonna ask her to be my wife… again.” Kevin, Michael, and Lauren are all speechless for a few moments. “Are you… asking for our blessing?” Michael asks, still not sure what he’s supposed to say. “No, I’m not asking for anything,” Jeffrey answers, “I just wanted to give you all a heads-up so that you knew, before tonight, where things stand between your mother and me.” “Well, when she didn’t break up with you after you blackmailed her, and she gave you another chance after you turned her in to the police…,” Kevin says. “That must mean, as much as it pains me to say it sometimes, that there’s something real between the two of you,” Michael admits. “Yeah, so maybe third time’s the charm?” Kevin adds.

Scene 13

As Billy enters the Coffee House from the patio door, he runs into Sharon who is leaving from the same door.

Kyle is sitting out on the patio and watches Billy and Sharon exchange a few pleasantries before she leaves. Billy approaches Kyle. “Nephew, you’re out and about early,” he says. “Jack wanted to teach me a lesson… get up early, seize the day. Enjoy family breakfast time together. It’s all a total croc.” “Hey, Abbott breakfasts are a family tradition,” Billy replies defensively. “Yeah… maybe if you’re actually a real Abbott and not just Jack’s black sheep spawn that he sees once every couple years,” Kyle retorts, “Speaking of dear old dad, he sent you here too, didn’t he? To make sure I am where I said I am?” “No!” Billy denies, “Well, yes, actually… but only because he didn’t like how things turned out this morning.” “Boo hoo for him,” Kyle replies, “I’m sick of hearing about Jack. But there is somethin’ you can tell me.” “Oh, yeah?” Billy says, “What’s that?”

“Who was that chick you were talkin’ to?” Kyle asks. “That ‘chick’ was Sharon, your father’s ex-wife,” Billy answers. “Really? Talk about a trophy wife,” Kyle responds. “She’s a fox, alright,” Billy replies, a big smirk on his face, “Trust me… I would know…” Kyle smirks too. “You and Sharon?” he asks. “Yeah, a couple times last year,” Billy divulges, “It wasn’t serious or anything.” “Still, I bet Jack was pissed off,” Kyle speculates. “Extremely,” Billy confirms, “But believe me, Jack’s reaction was nothing compared to the way that Sharon’s other ex, Nick Newman, reacted when he found out that Sharon married his brother, Adam, who by the way is a real psychopath…” “So Sharon’s been with two sets of brothers?” Kyle clarifies, “Jeez, the girl gets around… which I kindof like, actually…” “In this case, it’s actually kind of sad,” Billy realizes, “Believe me, Sharon’s misplaced love for the Newman men has caused her a lot of heartbreak. But despite her lousy taste in men, me aside, one thing about Sharon is… she’s a good mother…” “Kudos to her,” Kyle remarks sarcastically. “Actually, that’s her son in there,” Billy points out Noah through the Coffee House door, “Noah… he’s like a son to Jack.” “Everyone’s like a son to Jack,” Kyle replies, “Except his real son.”

Scene 14

Eden rejoins Noah after getting a re-fill of coffee. They sit at a table, each eating a croissant. “You know what these remind me of?” Eden asks. “Paris, of course,” Noah replies, with a smile. “Yeah, and the bakery that we used to go to for lunch all the time,” Eden reminisces, “with the fresh baguettes everyday. And all you could smell was bread cooking… and remember that French toast with the strawberries and brie?” “Yeah… I miss being with you in Paris,” Noah admits. “I miss being with you. Period,” Eden says, “We got to spend way more time together in Paris… and that doesn’t look like it’s gonna change anytime soon…” “What’s that supposed to mean?” “I have to go babysit Fen for Lauren, and then I have some family dinner to go to,” Eden explains. “Well, maybe we can do something later tonight,” Noah suggests, “Or better yet? Can you sneak away from the dinner? If your folks aren’t gonna be home, we could have your place all to ourselves.” Eden smiles. “I like the way you think,” she compliments him, “I’ll try to come up with a few ideas and I’ll let you know.” She gives him a quick kiss. “I’ll call you after,” Noah says as Eden leaves the Coffee House.

Scene 15

Michael, Kevin, and Lauren continue to question Jeffrey about his announcement that he plans to propose to Gloria again. “What about you wanting to keep your money separate so that Jack and Ashley couldn’t take it as part of the settlement?” Michael wonders. “Gloria’s made a deal with Ashley that the money for the settlement comes out of her paycheque at Jabot,” Jeffrey explains, ‘So we’re home free. We can get married, combine our assets, and there’s no way that the Abbotts are gonna spring a lawsuit on us for Gloria to repay the settlement.” “Do you have that in writing?” Michael asks, sounding skeptical. “Look, Jeffrey, we don’t mean to sound suspicious,” Lauren begins, “We just don’t want to see Gloria get hurt again.” “No, we don’t,” Michael agrees, “but for reasons I cannot understand, I don’t think she will be. You make my mother happy, and that’s all that matters to me. So assuming Gloria says yes, which I’m sure she will, welcome to the family… again.” “Thank you, Michael,” Jeffrey says. He shakes his hand. “Yeah, I guess, if you and Mom still love each other, and want to make it work… officially, then go for it,” Kevin adds.

The Baldwins’ phone rings and Lauren picks it up. “Hello,” she says. It’s Gloria, sounding very pleasant and upbeat. “Lauren, just the person I wanted to talk to. I’m just double-checking that all of you will be coming for dinner tonight,” Gloria says. “Nothing’s changed,” Lauren replies, “We’ll be there…” “And that includes Scott and Eden, right?” Gloria asks, “After all, we haven’t officially welcomed Scotty back to Genoa City, have we?” “Scott and Eden will both be there,” Lauren confirms. “Good,” Gloria responds, “I’m so looking forward to…” She looks over at the stove, where there is a pot of corn-on-the-cob boiling. The pot begins to boil over. “Oh no! No!” Gloria screams. She tries to run over to the stove, but she’s still holding the phone and the cord won’t reach. She runs back to set the phone down while the pot continues to boil over. “Gloria…?” Lauren calls through the phone. Gloria runs back to the phone. “I’ll have to call you back!” she screams and then hangs up. She frantically runs over to the stove to turn down the element. “This cannot be happening!” she exclaims, looking at the mess all over the stovetop.

“Sounds like your mother’s having some kitchen troubles,” Lauren informs the others, back at the Baldwins’ Apartment. “I would expect nothing less,” Michael comments. “She’s actually cooking something?” Kevin asks. “Attempting to,” Jeffrey answers. “Should we order some take-out as backup?” Kevin “Remember that Thanksgiving dinner she tried to cook… I can still taste all that garlic…”

Scene 16

Jack and Diane enter the lobby of the Athletic Club, where they’ve stopped for an early lunch. “Let’s just grab something to eat and then I’ll call Billy and see if he was able to talk Kyle down,” Jack tells her. Diane looks over at the bar and sees Victor sitting there. “Let’s go say hello,” she suggests. Jack shakes his head. “For once, I’m not in a mood to get into it with The Mustache,” he replies. “Well, then, I’ll go say hello,” Diane decides, “Stay here.”

She walks over to the bar. “Hello Victor,” Diane greets him with a smile. Victor is surprised by her return and is not in a mood for her. “When the hell did you get back in town?” he asks. “Is that any way to greet your ex-wife?” Diane retorts. “What do you want?” Victor responds even more harshly this time. “Now don’t be rude, Victor. I just thought what happened between us was ancient history,” Diane tells him, “I’m moving back to Genoa City, so we’ll be seeing more of each other. You should learn how to be more cordial.” “I don’t give a damn about being cordial right now,” Victor fires back, “For your information, I have something far more important on my mind.” “Like what?” Diane inquires. “I’m thinking a lot about another former wife today…,” Victor admits, “one who I don’t regret marrying.” He walks away, leaving Diane speechless.

Scene 17

Jack waits in the lobby of the Athletic Club when Sharon arrives. “Hey,” he says. “Hey Jack,” Sharon greets him back, “What’re you doing here?” “I’m here with Diane,” Jack tells her, “She and Kyle have moved back to Genoa City.” “Oh, Jack, that’s great,” Sharon responds sincerely, “I’m really sorry that I never got to meet him when…” “When we were married,” Jack finishes her sentence. “Yeah,” Sharon nods, “So where is he?” “Oh, um, at the Coffee House,” Jack answers, leaving out any of the problems that he’s had with Kyle, “He wanted some time to himself.” “I just dropped Noah off at the Coffee House,” Sharon informs Jack, “I don’t think he knows what Kyle looks like. But who knows? I wonder if they’ll run into each other.”

Scene 18

Kevin returns to the Coffee House and Billy points him out to Kyle as they watch him from the patio. “You see that guy in there?” Billy begins, “He owns this joint. That’s Kevin Fisher… better known as the Silver Chipmunk.” “Sounds like a porn star name,” Kyle says, “What’s it mean?” “A couple years ago, the kid went crazy… well, crazier than usual, and went on a crime spree… robbin’ banks,” Billy explains, “He wore this mask of a silver chipmunk as a disguise… hence, the nickname. Yeah, it was pretty big news around here. I’m surprised you didn’t hear about it back in Vancouver.” “I don’t follow the news much,” Kyle admits, “But if this guy did what you’re saying, how is he not in jail?” “Genoa City 101, Kyle,” Billy says, “Nobody pays for any crimes here… The justice system is seriously screwed up.”

“Well, on that note, I gotta go, nephew,” Billy announces as he gets up from the table, “Promise me you’ll stay outta trouble.” “Hey, trouble’s my middle name,” Kyle replies, “It seems to follow me around wherever I go…” Billy leaves. Kyle stares at Noah through the patio door.

Kyle approaches Noah and abruptly throws his arm around him. “Hey, Step-bro!” he calls out, leaving Noah looking confused and uncomfortable. “I guess you don’t know who I am? Not that I blame you…,” Kyle says before introducing himself, “Kyle Jenkins. Technically, Kyle Abbott.” “You’re Jack’s son,” Noah realizes. “Biologically,” Kyle retorts, “But I don’t consider Jack a father.” “Jack’s a great father,” Noah defends him. “So I hear…,” Kyle says, “I wouldn’t know…”

Scene 19

Abby is the only employee working at Fenmore’s Boutique. She’s finished putting the display up and stands around at the cash register waiting for a customer to come in. She briefly flashes back to Lauren’s words before she left the store: “You know the rules… no Ryder, right? No personal phone calls either…,” Lauren had warned. Abby picks up the phone at the cash register and dials a number. There’s no answer, but she leaves a message: “Hey, it’s Abby. Can you come to the Boutique when you get this?”

Scene 20

Victoria arrives at Billy’s Trailer and knocks on the front door. Billy answers the door and she rushes into his arms. “What’s wrong?” he asks, “Is it the custody meeting?” “No, Sabrina…,” Victoria whispers. “Sabrina!?” Billy responds, “What about her?” They take a seat on the couch. “Today, it’s been two years since she died,” Victoria tells him. Billy wipes her tears. “Tell me, what can I do to make it all go away?” he asks. “Just hold me for a while,” Victoria requests. They cuddle on the couch. “There… you feel any better?” he asks, “Does my little Chickenhawk feel better?” Victoria manages a smile at Billy’s baby-talk. “I wish we could stay like this forever…,” she whispers. Billy smiles. “What?” Victoria asks. “It’s just… who’d have ever thunk it?” he says, “an Abbott and a Newman getting along so well…”

Scene 21

At the Coffee House, Kyle continues to intentionally provoke Noah. “I saw your mom here earlier. It’s hard to believe she’s your mom. Man, she is smokin’. She must have had you really young… she’s what guys like me call… well, I’m sure you already know… but I’ll give you a hint anyway. Starts with an M and ends with an F.” “Shut your mouth!” Noah warns. “You know, it really is too bad I didn’t live with dear old dad when he was married to your mom. We could have been like one big happy family. Of course, until she left him and started shackin’ up with my uncle Billy. You knew about that, right?” “I’m warning you, man” Noah cautions Kyle, “Back off.” “Ooh, I’m shaking,” Kyle replies sarcastically, “You know, I’ve only been here a day and already I’ve heard some pretty interesting things about your mom. She’s apparently got quite a thing for the Newman and Abbott guys. First both of our dads, then I guess she got tired of them and wanted someone a little younger cause she slept with my uncle and married yours. I wonder who’s gonna be next. Based on her track record, I’d say I got a good chance at getting lucky. Or your grandfather, I guess, but since I’m young and hot, my money’s on me.” Noah, who had been standing there listening to all of Kyle’s insults, suddenly punches him in the face. Kyle retaliates and the two start fighting – aggressively -- in the middle of the Coffee House.

Next Time on The Young and The Restless

Katherine Chancellor Murphy and her son Tucker McCall are meeting at the Athletic Club for lunch. “I was hoping I could hear more about your life growing up,” Katherine admits, “If you wouldn’t mind enlightening me.”

Kyle Abbott arrives at Fenmore’s Boutique, where his cousin, Abby Carlton, is working. “How would you like to be an underwear model?” Abby inquires.

In Billy’s trailer, Billy Abbott and Victoria Newman are in the middle of a very serious conversation about their future together. “I think we need to get the annulment after all,” Victoria announces. Billy is confused as to why Victoria has suddenly changed her mind…
