BLAIR REDFORD returns to the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to reprise the role of SCOTT “SCOTTY” GRAINGER, JR., the handsome and modest son of Scott Grainger and Lauren Fenmore. Scotty returns to Genoa City to surprise his mother who was just rescued from a kidnapping. His homecoming will have unintended consequences for the Baldwin-Fisher clan, and may divide the entire family beyond repair.
DAPHNEE DUPLAIX joins the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to take over the role of ALEX PEREZ, a beautiful and brilliant attorney who returns to Genoa City as part of the legal team for Tucker McCall Unlimited. The former fiancée of Malcolm Winters, Alex is unaware that Malcolm didn’t really die in Kenya, and is surprised to find him alive and well. Alex must once again confront her old feelings for both Neil and Malcolm.
DAVID HENRIE joins the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the role of RICARDO “RICKY” WILLIAMS, the long-absent son of detective Paul Williams and his crazed ex-wife Isabella Brana, who is currently institutionalized. Ricky grew up in Los Angeles with his grandparents, unaware of how his parents got together and why neither of them has been involved in his upbringing. Easily influenced and wanting to fit in, Ricky becomes friends with rebellious Kyle Abbott and a girl named “Sully,” both of whom Paul considers bad influences.
JEREMY SUMPTER joins the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the role of KYLE ABBOTT, the wild and wayward son of Jack Abbott and Diane Jenkins. With All-American good looks, money, and girls, Kyle appears to have everything a teenager could want, but he still craves the attention from his father that he missed while growing up. Kyle becomes fast friends with Ricky Williams who also grew up without his father in his life, and along with a classmate named “Sully,” they cause havoc around Genoa City, especially for Noah Newman.
JORDAN MONAGHAN joins the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the role of “SULLY,” the troubled classmate and friend of Kyle Abbott and Ricky Williams. Though she’s new to Genoa City, Sully’s reputation is already well-known. She proudly boasts that she’s been kicked out of several schools. But there may be more to Sully than the defiant persona she puts on.
MELISSA PETERMAN joins the cast of THE YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS in the role of ROSEANNE RYERSON, the Guardian Ad Litem involved in evaluating the custody case for Reed. Although she appears to be an upstanding woman and a consummate professional, there may be more to this mystery woman than meets the eye.
STEVEN CULP returns to the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to reprise the role of DR. BRIAN HAMILTON, the biological father of Daniel Romalotti and a former boyfriend of Phyllis Newman. Brian comes to Genoa City as a neurologist treating Jana’s amnesia, and quickly becomes intertwined with many of the city’s prominent residents.
SUSAN WALTERS returns to the YOUNG AND THE RESTLESS to reprise the role of DIANE JENKINS, the mother of Kyle Abbott and the former flame of Jack Abbott. With Jack recently available again, Diane hopes for reconciliation as she and Jack have to unite to control their troubled son Kyle. Although she appears to have mellowed over the years, Diane is known to have a self-serving and scheming nature, and she has no problems using manipulations to get what she wants.
ASHLEY BENSON takes over the role of ABBY CARLTON, the spoiled young daughter of Victor Newman and Ashley Abbott. At age 17, Abby feels she’s already grown up and wants others to treat her like an adult. She wants nothing more than to break away from her parents and catch the attention of the older Ryder Callahan. Her actions to do so may have some unintended (and intended) consequences along the way.
